I'm Aida,
nice to meet you.

I am an entry-to-junior level UI/UX designer based in Tokyo.  Embarking on this journey,   I've embraced every challenge as an opportunity to expand my horizons and polish my skills. Whether I'm playing around with wireframes or delving into UX research methods, each step is driven by my determination to grow as a designer and craft meaningful digital experiences.

What I've been up to

Though my portfolio may feature just a handful of projects – a mix of real-world experiences and coursework – my passion for learning

knows no bounds!

What makes me stand out is my adaptability - a skill honed not only through design. Speaking mainly in my second language and dabbling in a bit of broken Japanese has taught me resilience and the charm of embracing imperfections.

Despite having a degree in journalism and communication studies, I have worn many hats. Latest one being- a language teacher.

Let me tell you, the parallels between teaching and designing are as amusing as they are uncanny!

Picture this: wrangling a group of energetic younglings is not so different from tackling a design challenge!

Just as I guide children through the maze of learning, coaxing them to understand complex concepts with patience and creativity, I navigate the design process, coaxing pixels into place , and hopefully one day coaxing users to understand complex interfaces.

It's all about communication, empathy, and finding the perfect balance between structure and spontaneity.

Hey, who knew that teaching the ABCs could have so much in common with designing the perfect user experience?
